The start of the Whittington family....

Let's start this blog by explaining how the Whittington family got started!

Jeff and I first met way back in middle school. We were in choir together, and although we enjoy reminiscing about those awkward years, there were no sparks yet. Once we got to high school, we shared some of the same friends and were in some of the same classes, but again we did not date back then. But I will admit I always thought he was handsome, funny, and charming (as did most of the girls I knew).

Five years after graduating high school, we crossed paths again. I had moved back to Columbus after living in Dayton to attend college. We became friends and started hanging out with all of the same people. We were close friends for about two years before we started dating. We were both finally single at the same time during the fall of 2007. We had so much in common and tons of fun together, so we decided to give it a shot!

We went through a lot together, and once we decided to be in a committed relationship, we never left each other's side. We are best friends which is all I can ask for! Jeff proposed to me in a private theater after playing a slide show of pictures throughout our lives and our relationship. It was a night I will never forget!!!

We were married on May 16, 2009. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding and a really fun night for everyone! We went to the Cherry Valley Lodge and then stayed in a cabin in Hocking Hills for our honeymoon...great memories :)

Our first child was born October 1, 2009. We named her Elise Violet Whittington. I made this blog for the main purpose of keeping track of all of the wonderful memories we are creating as a family.
